News Download Festival

June has been a very busy month. The project was helped enormously by Live Nation the Download Festival organisers. Live Nation is a great supporter of Cancer Research UK and they helped the Body Of Art project by allowing us to set up a studio at the festival and get many of the tattooed rock musicians involved with the project. Some of those photographed include: Corey Taylor:  Slipknot / Stone Sour. Burton C Bell:  Fear Factory. Chris Adler: Lamb of God. Barry Kerch: Shinedown and Lzzy, Arjay, Josh and Joe from Halestorm. There were many others and all will be on here and the websites soon. A big thank you to all who helped out especially all the team at Live Nation, Road Runner Records, LD Communications, Procamtv and many others.

Pictures soon lots of post production now!!

Raul Meireles @RaulMeireles4

Raul Meireles Portuguese international and Chelsea FC midfeilder was photographed for the Body Of Art project in May. Raul was super cool and a great pleasure to work with. Raul said he was happy to give his time to a great cause and mentioned that he has never had such detailed photos taken of his body art. His tattoos are truly amazing up close and are superbly detailed. He also siad he is not finished and has plans to get lots more body art.

Melanie C

Melanie C posed for a portrait for the Body Of Art project in May. She was great to work with, a really lovely lady who gives a great deal of her time to charitable causes. Her pictures have been overwhelmingly appreciated by her millions of fans, many saying they are the most amazing and iconic images of Melanie. It's fantastic to hear her fans love the images so much. It's also great that many of the fan sites, facebook pages and forums are posting the pictures and helping to promote the project. So thanks to all of them who are helping. Prints of Melanie and the other Body Of Art heros will be available to buy soon. Profits from the prints will be donated to Cancer Research. Join the mailing list at info@bodyofartfoundation.com and we will let you know when the limited edition prints become avaialable.

News: James Ellington Olympic Sprinter

Just finished the post-production work on the images from the portrait session with James Ellington and here are the results.
The shoot was last Friday at “The Studio In Palace”
Many thanks to James for giving his time and thank you to Graeme Dalton for his help with the studio.
James was an absolute pleasure to work with and had his own personal reasons for getting involved with the project. His coach John Powell is a two-time survivor from cancer, follow the link to read his story: http://ts1news.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/powells-little-miracle.html
The shoot was also filmed by Red Rocket Productions, more news to follow about that soon.
